Our Story
Welcome to Stellarium Jewelry
At Stellarium Jewelry, we craft each piece by hand, imbuing it with care, intention, and a touch of the celestial. Our journey began in a small studio in Baltimore, Maryland, where we have committed to using only ethically sourced stones from Union mines and metals that are either recycled or upcycled vintage. Our creations are not merely adornments; they are hand-crafted armor designed to uplift and protect your energy while complementing your unique aesthetics.
Our Journey
• 2008: The seed of Stellarium was planted when Morgan took an introductory jewelry class as an elective while studying to be an art teacher at Towson University.

• 2013: Morgan began creating pieces out of wood and shrinky dink plastic, under the name “Rat,” as a way to decompress from her full-time teaching job.

• 2015: Stellarium Jewelry was born. The name ‘Stellarium’ emerged during a brainstorming session with Morgan’s best friend Moss, inspired by the Latin word for starlight, ‘Stellarum,’ and her small, airy studio apartment on the corner of 28th and Calvert.

• 2018: After several years of balancing teaching and jewelry-making, Morgan decided to leave her teaching career to dedicate herself fully to Stellarium Jewelry.

Meet the Team
Founder & Creator: Morgan
Morgan’s journey into jewelry-making began as a creative escape during her years as an art teacher. With a degree in Art Education from Towson University, she spent several years teaching before deciding to pursue her true passion. Stellarium Jewelry represents a dream long in the making, a blend of Morgan’s love for art, nature, and the healing energies of crystals. Each piece she creates is meant to celebrate individuality and harness the earth’s energies, aiming to bring beauty and positivity into your life.
Media & Collaboration: Tobey (they/them)
Tobey and Morgan first met in 2009 in the Queer Student Union at Towson University, where Morgan was studying art education and Tobey was immersed in sculpture. Their shared love for art and the queer community forged a strong bond that has grown over the years. Tobey has always been a vital part of Stellarium, often assisting at markets and featuring in photoshoots. In an effort to make Stellarium more sustainable, both physically and emotionally, Tobey has officially joined the team to manage our media and visual storytelling. Their artistic eye and dedication are invaluable, and together, we strive to bring the beauty of Stellarium Jewelry to life.
Our Vision
Stellarium Jewelry is more than just a brand; it’s a celebration of self, a connection to the cosmos, and a commitment to ethical craftsmanship. We invite you to explore our collection and find pieces that resonate with your spirit, adorn your body, and inspire your journey. Welcome to our world, where the stars are within reach, and every piece of jewelry tells a story.
Thank you for being part of our stellar community.
